Control Your Temper By Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides Does your head heat up fast? Is your patience gone fast? Do you have problems when it comes to your temper? There is more to lose when you allow your temper to control you. If you want a better and happier life at work and business, we better learn to control our emotions especially our temper. Good day, I am Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides for your Protips partner in inspired and productive work. Pinaaalalahanan tayo ng Salita ng Diyos sa James 1:19-20 ng ganito, "This you know, everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God." There's a lot to lose if we can't control or control our temper. 1) You lose good people. Many great employees leave their company because they can't stand the attitude or temper of their boss. Someone said, employees don't leave good companies but bad bosses. A good worker has many options. And because he has a lot to work for, if he doesn't do well in the working environment, he probably doesn't leave the boss hard to get along with. If you want to keep good people, learn to control your temper. 2) You lose your reputation. Remember the video that went viral because someone screamed, punched a gun or punched others in the middle of hot contention? These people regret the reason for rising is their head heat. It's harder to be snobbish or angry at these days because one video is the only thing you have. If you want to care for your reputation, be good and gentle on and off camera. 3) You lose business opportunities. Will a customer approach you when you are always angry? If the one who is frowning is not good to start the business is the one who is always shouting and angry? The ability to refrain our heat is a sign of intelligence. Proverbs 29:11 says it's like this, ′′ A fool always loses his temper, But a wise man holds it back." If you want to work with good people, if you want to take care of your reputation, if you want to have more business opportunities for your company, learn to avoid anger. Learn to control your temper. BE A BLESSING IN THE WORKPLACE TODAY! Source: Protips - September 16. 2020 https://www.facebook.com/ProtipsToday/

PROTIPS - August 31, 2020 The Benefits of Listening By Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides I've been on broadcasting for a long time where we are saying ′′ dead air ′′ is prohibited or long-term pause that no one will hear or see listeners and viewers. There should always be someone talking, there should always be action. But away from the camera and the microphone, I have come to appreciate moments of quiet reflection and times when I will just sit and listen to others. Listening has many benefits. So if you're used to it, you're always the one who's going to fight the discussion, meetings or stories in your office, may I suggest that every once in a while, you also pause and enjoy the art of listening. Good day, I'm Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides for your Protips partner in inspired work and business to progress. Why do we really need to learn to listen? With God's design in our body, we'll know what we should do more often right? We have two ears, we only have one mouth. As if it is said to us, listen more and speak less. What are the benefits of listening more? 1) You gain wisdom by listening with understanding. I learn more every time I listen than when I speak. No matter who you are talking to, young, old, with PhD or without, you definitely have something to learn if you have ears and heart that can listen. When you know how to listen, you earn the right to also be listened to when you speak. 2) Listening is an exercise in humility. When you truly listen to understand others or learn from them, isn't it a show of humility? When you listen, you are giving value to the thoughts and ideas of other people. It's recognition that you don't know everything so you have to listen and learn from others. Listening to your workmate, friend or employee also shows humility because you believe they have wisdom and more knowledge to share. 3) Listen to God's word more and to the criticisms of others less. If we deserve to learn something, that is the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says, ′′ So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." Listening to people's criticisms can be discouraging at times. But if we listen to God's Word, surely you will learn something new always. God's Word, instructions and inspiration, make it a habit to listen to and read His Word. Grow in wisdom and humility by learning how to listen more. Listening has many benefits. BE A BLESSING IN THE WORKPLACE TODAY! Source: Protips, August 31, 2020 https://www.facebook.com/ProtipsToday/ Friday, August 28, 2020 - Posted date
#APPC2019Proceedings: The Trade Conflict and Its Impact: An Updated Assessment by Kristina Baris, Mahinthan Joseph Mariasingham, and Reizle Jade Platitas, Research Associate, Senior Statistician, and Research Associate, respectively, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, Asian Development Bank
This paper analyzes the effects of the current trade conflict on developing Asia using the Asian Development Bank’s Multiregional Input-Output Tables (MRIOT). The use of an MRIOT allows the calculation of the impact of the conflict on individual countries and sectors within countries. The analysis estimates the direct impact on all tariff-affected goods; uses input-output analysis to estimate indirect effects on the gross domestic product (GDP), exports, and employment; and allows for redirection of trade toward other producers using the approach of Feenstra and Sasahara (2017). A full escalation of the bilateral United States (US)-People’s Republic of China (PRC) trade conflict would shave 1 percent off PRC GDP and 0.1 percent off US GDP. The rest of developing Asia could see small net gains, thanks to trade redirection, particularly in the electronics sector. A trade war in autos and parts would hurt the European Union and Japan. The conflict has substantial negative effects on PRC and US employment, but only minor impacts on current account balances. #APPC2019Proceedings: Between Norms and Whims: International Law as a Global Public Good by Jeffrey Ordaniel, Director of Maritime Programs (Non-resident), Pacific Forum; and Assistant Professor of International Security Studies, Tokyo International University This paper by Dr. Jeffrey Ordaniel focuses on the international maritime regime and addresses three important issues—the role of international law in international relations, the impact of great power politics to contemporary regional order, and the place of the rule of law in Philippine foreign policy and national interest. It discusses how smaller powers, like the Philippines, should put the rule of law front and center in the conduct of their foreign policy. The National Climate Change Action Plan and Global Public Goods: Leveraging National Opportunities for Sustainable Development by Jerome Ilagan, Policy Research and Development Division Chief, Climate Change Commission – Philippines In this paper, Mr. Jerome Ilagan discusses national laws that have been enacted in the country as a strong signification of commitment and support to the goal of stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations. Republic Act (RA) 9729 or the Climate Change Act of 2009, which was amended through RA 10174, outlined the necessary institutional arrangements to mainstream climate change in the policymaking, planning, and monitoring and evaluation processes of the government, and also mandated the formulation of a National Framework Strategy on Climate Change and its operational plan, the National Climate Change Action Plan. Climate change, in pursuit of common global sustainable development outcomes, presents some opportunities ranging from policy (re)development, mobilization and access to climate finance and carbon markets, and multistakeholder partnerships and engagement for program implementation.
